What is Tax Free Shopping?
Tax Free Shopping allows non-EU visitors to shop in Ireland without having to pay sales tax
on their purchases, as long as they export the goods within 3 months. This service has been
approved by the Revenue Commissioners.
Who is eligible to avail of this service?
All visitors from non-EU countries are eligible to avail of the Tax Free Shopping Service.
How does the service work?
FEXCO Taxfree and Global Refund provide you with Tax Free Shopping Vouchers and the required training to operate the service. The system is as simple as A,B,C:
a) Visitors are offered a Tax free Shopping voucher for every vatable purchase they make.
b) Visitors complete their details on the voucher and present it to a Global Refund office at
the last point of exit from the EU and receive their cash or credit card refund.
c) Visitors can also mail back their vouchers from their home country by simply having them
stamped by a notary public, customs official, justice of peace or a police officer and are
then refunded by credit card.
